Driving in Ireland

Good news! Turns out driving on the other side of the road is no big deal. It was actually quite fun and I can't wait to do it again! As long as you adhere to the "just stay left" rule, you'll be fine :)

Today was quite the day. We drove up down to the Cliffs of Moher, where I experienced the highest winds I think I have ever been out in. There are no words to describe how beautiful the cliffs are. I'm sure the pictures won't do it justice either, but they'll try. After literally being almost blown over and hanging out at the cliffs we took a drive through "the Burren." The Burren is an extremely barren landscape that just appears out of the green all of a sudden. Not much grows there and there is mass amounts of rock scattered everywhere. It makes for stunning views along the coast. Some of the rocks look like they are left over from meteors. The weather was all over the place today which made for some amazing surf crashing into the rocks of the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. Today seemed like a classic day in what I thought Ireland would be, except it was even more picturesque.
So windy!

Tomorrow we are off to see where my great grandmother was born. It should be an interesting find, there are no adddresses in the town, just a town name. Classic Ireland. Anytime we have asked for directions the response has been like turn left turn right turn left turn right, no landmarks and no streetnames. It makes for some interesting rides to be sure.
